Monday's Blessing
Psalm 89:17
"Thou art the glory of their strength; and in they favor our horn shall be exalted."
Sometimes you pray and pray and nothing seems to take root - nothing sprouts - nothing grows. These can be the most trying times of life especially when you have great faith and nothing seems to be manifesting in your favor. Take heart, sometimes it takes time for the puzzle pieces of life to all fit into a beautiful landscape.
I once knew a woman who worked for a daycare facility. Everyday she came in first; each evening she was the last to leave. She was paid minimally, not what she deserved. She was a hard worker always ensuring her teammates got what they needed. One of those gals that always steps up to the plate when no one else would. She endured wise-cracks from parents due to her particular ways. You see, in Maggie's life, everything had a place and purpose. This caused frustration for parents who looked through veiled eyes due to the great love for their offspring.
Furthermore, coworkers would say, "Maggie, let it go, my gosh, you don't own the place. Why do you do so much?" But Maggie prevailed feeling that her touches made that establishment what it is today. She loved having everything just right so that anyone could walk off the streets at any time into the doors of a well-run facility.
One bleak day the owner was notified her health was failing. Maggie was the first one she called into the office. "Maggie, I am unable to work much longer. My health will be gone soon, and I started something good here. I want you to run it."
Today Maggie is the Director of that facility free and clear! Maggie worked for a multitude of years before this happened.
That is a good example of God bringing justice into that woman's life. That's God paying her back for all those moments she gave up to him.
You must understand we serve God who wants to do more than you can ask or think. Regardless of how people are treating you, keep doing the right thing; don't get offended or upset; don't try to pay them back.
If you do all that when it comes time for you to be promoted, God will make sure it happens. He'll make sure you get everything you've been praying for and more! Just trust his plan is in action and keep praying!
