Corinthians 6:14-7:1
"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” ...
Dear Friends,
Happpy Easter to all! May God bless you increasingly during this season of renewal. Today brings joy as we reminisce Christ's death on the cross and his rebirth to new life. A new life that embraces all of us he loves. A new beginning for us all. Take this queue and move with it.
I am certain during the advent of Lent you contemplated the new direction your life will take this year. All those little inuendoes that will make us better followers of Christ were put in place. I wonder, personally, if you've considered those around you as well. After all we are only half of the total picture of life. It is those individuals that surround us that bring life to full potential.
Are you unevenly yoked with others in your life? Have these same individuals brought out a side of you that makes you uncomfortable? Possibly depressed? Maybe angry? More importantly, take stock and note, do they share the same visions of life as you do? Do they ascertain the faith you do that weaves the fibers of our souls? Today spend a moment contemplating everyone that plays a part in your daily living.
This season of new life beacons you to consider those around you. For if you do not surround yourself with those that are believers how can you possibly attain a better quality of life? Christ sets the tools before us, it is we who choose without thought. If you've been thinking about moving on, now is the time. When you do, Christ will fill that void.
Begin to set your horizons up! Look up for guidance asking the good Lord to provide you with a circle of family and friends that are true Christians and have your best interest at heart. I am not implying you leave your family members stranded, but it is not the time to let other obligations shackle you any longer. Instead, open your blinders and set goals towards a new beginning seeking others who share your faith.
Much love,
Me
