2. Keep Your "I Hate My Job" thoughts to yourself. You can never be certain which relationships you harbor go directly to the top. Remember to be diplomatic never severe or burn a bridge for future needed job recommendations.
3. Remember that happiness comes first. This is a tough one. But, from this day forward find minutes each day to find your own happiness at work. If there is none, make it happen!
4. Reflect on the bits of your job you do like. Yes, even though life can be unbearable, there are attributes of the job you do like. Look, seek, and find them. Begin to put these small tidbits under your microscope for daily magnification.
5. Think about what you control and influence. Hashing daily over what you have no influence over can be a downer. Keep your thoughts on what you are capable of influencing and focus on that.
6. Try something new. It is easy to get stuck in a rut where you daily glide through all the aspects of the job you loathe. But, if you are on the lookout to implement something new to brighten your day, your outlook will be more positive.
7. Reflect on the times when you have coped and remained resilient. Yes, there have been other jobs in your life you made it through until you reached the next level. Remember that this, too, shall pass. Try to bring forth other tools utilized when you were stuck in a dead-end job in the past.
8. Decide that you can learn something. Even though it seems insane, remember, we are in places for a reason. There are tools you will take from this job that will be utilized in the next.
9. Most of all, trust God and pray each day; in fact, each morning before you go to work. Grab your Bible and ask God to point out a verse to make the day easier and open your eyes.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Realize the correct path you are about to undertake may not be blatant yet in your own eyes. God may have plans that are not yet exposed. Just trust in your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. Soon this burden will be lifted and your eyes will be open in due time.
