Mark 11:23-24
"Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him. Therefore i says to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you."
Where is your mountain today? None of us are exempt from strife. There once was a man in the village who was so distraught he went to speak to the village elder. "I can't live this way anymore. I am always in pain and something is always going wrong. I see other people who are always happy. Why doesn't God bless me like he blesses them? Why must I live in distress?" asked the man.
"Nothing is as it seems. Go now and knock on every door in the village and ask them if they have any problems. Go on until the next village greets you. When you find someone who is free of difficulties come back to me immediately," the elder said. Months passed before the man returned.
Finally the elder spotted the man walking up the road. He walked directly to him and said, "I have knocked on every door of this village. I even went into the next village and the next trying to find someone who is free of issues. I could find no one."
There are always tough situations that enter our doors. But, you've got to be careful of negative and destructive thoughts that come out of your mouth. Scripture says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and you will eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18:21) Everyone experiences hard times throughout their life, but the key is how you deal with each. In other words, you can create an environment of good or evil just from your words.
The Bible instructs us to speak to our mountains. Maybe your mountain is sickness, perhaps its a bad relationship, or financial stress. The Bible says, "Let the weak say I'm strong. Let the oppressed say I'm free. Let the sick say I'm healed. Let the poor say I'm well off." (Joel 3:10) What the Lord is saying is to find a solution! Set it in his lap and know it will be taken care of. Then, focus only on solutions that come to your heart.
Start calling yourself to those solutions. Say to yourself, "I'm healed, happy, whole, blessed, and prosperous." Stop complaining to God about how big your mountains are, and start talking to your mountains about how big your God is!" Start declaring a solution by saying," Everything I touch prospers and succeeds." We must stop cursing the darkness. Let's start commanding the light to come! You can do this by changing your words.
This Week's Meditation:
I see nothing as it is now.
Meditate on this for several minutes a day. Allow your thoughts to come into your mind. Each time a negative thought comes slowly bring your thought process back to, "I see nothing as it is now." You are affirming that God will take care of everything.
