Romans 12:11
"Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically."
How are your days lately? Filled with pressure, tension, stress? These types of daily tolls wreck havoc on our enthusiasm, causing it to quickly evaporate if it is not continually replenished. It's not an easy avenue to stay excited and inspired throughout the day. You probably know someone who has lost their passion and zest for life. Once you knew them as mentors who got you excited about new beginnings. Now they move methodically through the day getting what done that needs to be done.
Maybe you've been experiencing a reduction in enthusiasm lately. Maybe at one point you were excited about your job. It was new, you were adding your thoughts and promoting enthusiasm to your co-workers, now you've backslided into a realm of boredom. Or maybe your marriage once contained so much excitement you couldn't wait to get home each day. Now, you trudge home welcoming the stop lights along the way. Maybe at one point you were excited about serving God each day, but now you sit making excuses on attending church on Sundays. Maybe you haven't picked up your Bible in months. Instead you are sitting there thinking, "I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't have any drive. I don't have any passion. I'm just going through the motions."
It's faith in something and enthusiasm in something that makes life worth living - Oliver Holmes
Make a decision right now that you are not going to live another day without the joy of the Lord in your life; without love, peace, and passions; without being excited about your life. And understand that you don't have to have something extraordinary happening in your life to be excited. You may not live inn the perfect environment or have the perfect job or the perfect marriage, but you can still choose to live each day with enthusiasm. The Scripture says, "Never lag in zeal, but be aglow and on fire, serving the Lord enthusiastically: (Romans 12:11). Does this describe you? Are you aglow with God's presence in your life? Are you on fire with enthusiasm? You can be! When you awaken in the morning, do you get up with passion to meet the day? Are you excited about your dreams? Do you go to work each day with enthusiasm?
If not you need to change your attitude. You can pick up a self-help book. Join a new community in your church. Pick up the Bible again each morning or night. Let God directly inspire you. You need to stay excited about the opportunities God places before you. Where ever you are in life make the most out of it. Be all you can be. Shake off those feelings of negativity and look up! God wants you to give everything you got. Be enthusiastic. Set and example, Do your work with such excellence that others will be impressed by your work ethic. Point others in the direction of God with such ambition. Light the path of prosperity in your path.
