Isiah 53:6
"We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all."
I am always always amazed at the relentless love of God. No matter where we are, no matter how busy we are, he is always trying to nudge us and guide us to a better light. God is known for second chances. People fail, but God is faithful.
This verse is from the book of Isaiah. It captures the essence of God's love. No matter how long we turn away from him, busy with our own undertakings, he will never turn from us. This reminds me of the shepherds in the old testament. While tending their sheep, they never tired when one strayed. Tirelessly, they gathered their flocks again and again until the brood was whole. God is our Shepard always prodding us back to reality.
God is the same with his people. You may find it difficult to keep in constant communication with our Lord, but he never does. He is always there guiding and prompting you, letting you know he is always close by. Learn to hone in on these gentle nudgings allowing him to be in constant contact with you daily.
Most importantly know that you are always loved. No matter how far you stray, the Lord is waiting with open arms, calling you home.
Father, thank you for loving me.
If not for your love, I would be lost.
hank you for your constant forgiveness
and being with me always. Amen
