Proverbs 16:7
"When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."
The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still. All you need to do is let your full trust in God rest. He'll fight your battles for you. It doesn't matter the situation you're going through. It doesn't matter how big your opponents are. All YOU need to to is keep an attitude of faith. Stay calm. Stay at peace. Keep your thoughts in a positive frame of mind. Don't try to do it YOUR way. Let God do it HIS way. All you simply need to do is listen in your heart to hear his commands, and he will change things in your favor.
The Bible says, "Don't get weary and faint in your mind." (Hebrews 12:3) Remember, you must first win the battle in your mind. Some days our mind, or ego, gets the best of things. All this experience we have rests heavily on our souls. We seem to know what is the best way out. We have a tendency to try and control the situation so it doesn't get out of hand. Instead, when negative thoughts come, we need to reject them and replace them with thoughts from God. When you're in that attitude of faith, you are opening the door for God to work in your life. You may not be seeing anything happening with your "natural" eyes immediately but don't let that discourage you. Behind what can not be seen is God's work changing everything. He is changing things in your favor. All you need to do in keep believing that at the right time and right place God will bring you to victory.
I can't say this enough, "The key is to choose the right thoughts to keep your mind set in the right direction." It is just not when you are feeling good when things are going your way. It is important in the difficult times as well when our egotistical thoughts get the best of us. When we feel the need to control the situation because we can't tolerate any more pain in our lives. You must squash this ego who only wants control. You need to be consistent in attitude saying, "I refuse to go backward. I am going forward with God. I'm going to be the person he wants me to be. I'm going to fulfill my destiny with God's plan. I am going to do that with God's mindset.
This Week's Meditation:
These thoughts have no meaning to me.
Meditate on this for several minutes a day. Allow your thoughts to come into your mind. Each time a negative thought comes slowly bring your thought process back to, "These thoughts have no meaning to me." You are affirming that God will take care of everything.
