1 Corinthians 22:13
"Then you will prosper if you are careful to keep and fulfill the statutes and ordinances with which the Lord charged Moses concerning Israel. be strong and of good courage. Dread not and fear not; be not dismayed.”
It's natural to protect our well-being. We want to perform in our best state of mind, do work to the best of our ability, and be at peace while doing so. But as reality turns, so is this not the case each day.
Someone recently asked me a question, "Besides God himself, what one thing had helped me get from where I started into my position today?"
I immediately replied, "I refused to give up!" Trust me, there are thousand of times I wanted to give up, sit at home, and collect disability. Some days dragging my butt out of bed just didn't seem worth it. When you have a chronic illness life is just not easy. Sure, I was tempted to give up, let the illness have its way, but I always pressed on. I found peace in writing here, using my talents and the Holy Spirit to reach others. Amazingly the pain disappears when I do.
Don't ever let life defeat you. Face it with the boldness and courage God promises you, and declare you will enjoy every aspect while doing so! You can do that because you harbor the awesome power of God dwelling in you. God is never frustrated and unhappy. He always has peace and joy, and since he lives in us and we live in him, surely we are blessed with the same.
When you are in pain, you don't have to dwell on pain and let it ruin your day. You can still accomplish what you need to do by God's grace, and you don't have to fear and dread that you may feel that same way tomorrow. I have worked through pain servicing others each day. Whatever I go thorough, God will always be with me. Choose to believe the same! Choose to believe that Jesus is your healer and that his healing power is working in your body right now!
When tempted to worry, remember to say this: "I am not impressed." Instead, believe you should be more impressed by God's word than your problems. If you don't get impressed, you won't get depressed, than oppressed, and ultimately even possessed by your difficulties.
No matter what you are facing right now, God has a great life planned for you. If includes prosperity and progress in every area of your life. It includes great peace, unspeakable joy, and every good thing you can imagine. Refuse to settle for less!
This Week's Meditation:
Teach me to "be impressed by God's word."
Pray:
Help me to meditate: I know you have a great life planned for me.
Teach me to be patient and know you have prosperity and progress planned for me.
Remind me that I can not do it alone.
Meditate on this for several minutes a day. Allow various thoughts to come into your mind. And realize God has you in his arms always. If your mind is jumbled lately, try Headspace for FREE. It's a great app to find health and happiness.
