Ezekiel 38:7
"Get ready; be prepared.....”
Getting tired? Maybe feeling a bit old? Does your mind ponder on the fact, "I don't think I can take on anymore?"
Do you find you are stagnating on this a bit? Wondering when life is just going to slow a bit down?
Everyone faces these challenges in life as time passes on. Some people get completely overwhelmed wondering when the light is going to be exposed at the end of the tunnel. But you still need to hit challenges head-on and overcome them. You need to still mentally prepare yourself for whatever comes.
According to Colossians 3:2, the way to be prepared is to "set your mind and keep it set." Don't be caught off guard and unprepared. Repeatedly think, "I can do whatever I need to do in life through Christ. Even if you're bones are growing weary, he can help you set your mind and keep it set in the right direction. The same adage applies, where the mind goes, the man follows.
Do not allow your thoughts to come with, "I cannot take anymore trouble! I'm tired and over the edge right now. If things don't change soon, I'm throwing in the towel." There are so many varieties to this way of thinking. But even if you are old an tired, these patterns can ruin your day.
Instead think, "I have the mind of Christ." "This trial is going to work out for my good."
Be the person who is mentally prepared at any age for any challenges that cross your path, and do not allow yourself to be easily discouraged and defeated Always remember that apart from Jesus you can do nothing (John 15:5), but in Him you can do whatever you need to do in life (Phil 4:13).
This Week's Meditation:
Teach me that "I can do anything with you."
Pray:
Help me to meditate: I can do anything with your help, Christ .
Teach me to place things at your feet.
Remind me that I can not do it alone.
Meditate on this for several minutes a day. Allow various thoughts to come into your mind. And realize God has you in his arms always.
