Luke 24:31
"Suddenly their eyes were opened and they recognized him."
We are so grateful for the numerous ways God shows up to each of us. When do you recognize God? Every corner you turn, every challenge you face, every obstacle you overcome - God is there. It is usually in small quiet ways, such as a warm breeze on a hot day, or brightly hued newly blossoming flower when you least expect it. He can also be there on heightened drama days with a massive thunder and rain storm where above all else you feel his presence.
God shows up in unexpected and powerful moments where you can feel his loving, safe, guiding embrace enabling you to persevere. It can be the lightly falling rain as you sip your morning coffee, or a warm smile from a friend. It can be a co-worker lightening the load without added explanation.
God showed up throughout my week warming my heart from the recent loss of our furry family member. There were kind words on Facebook reminding me of the essence of life. There were co-workers and colleagues picking up slack when my brain was numb. There were older children being more visible helping mend my heart. Even my students picked up my somber mood expressing sorry and good wishes to my family.
Wherever you are, what every you need, he is already there loving you - waiting for you. Learn to open your eyes each day and see God's details. He is everywhere; we are blessed.
Dear Father,
I know you are always there leading the way.
I pray that I will learn to recognize you more.
I want to appreciate the daily interest
you take in me.
Thank you for always guiding me and
Warming my heart most when I need it.
